About the CFTF Awards Program

The Foundation’s Volunteer Awards Program inspires excellence by recognizing individuals for their distinguished service and dedication to the Colonial Fox Theatre project. We present two annual awards:

The Ralph E. Wallace Award for outstanding individual contribution recognizes a person who demonstrates excellence through his or her volunteer impact and quality of service.  An award winner will have distinguished themselves in their number of volunteer hours and/or the impact they have had on the project. The Ralphie recognizes an individual whose work ethic and dependability has earned for them our highest honor.

Most Valued Volunteer Award (MVV) recognizes those volunteers who have given significant contributions of time to the Colonial Fox Theatre Foundation. Recipients will have faithfully answered the call for help to participate in “stuffing” parties, theatre cleanings, Second Sunday Tours, Friday Flix, and other projects as they develop.

The 2010 Awards

Ralph E. Wallace Award

Ralph (Rack) Wallace received the Ralph E Wallace Award for Outstanding Individual Contribution, recognizing his remarkable efforts, meritorious service, volunteer generosity and the commitment and passion his has brought to bear on the historic Colonial Fox Theatre project. As volunteer office manager for the Colonial Fox Theatre Foundation since 2007, Rack was instrumental in the transition of CFTF’s 2007 cardboard box filing system to our current sophisticated filing system with electronic back-up. Rack pays the bills, organizes the files, maintains records and receipts, and does everything any other irreplaceable office manager would do, except Rack does this for love of the Colonial Fox Theatre project rather than for a salary. Since 2007, Rack has accumulated over 800 hours of volunteer time. Read Article
