This visually stunning film is famous for its use of motion-capture computer animation. First brought to theatres in 2004, this movie was based on a children’s book written by Chris Van Allsburg. The Polar Express is a perfect holiday themed family flick filled with Christmas songs, thrilling train rides, great imagination, and a sense of adventure throughout. The story is about a boy named Billy (voiced by Hayden McFarland) who is longing to find proof of Santa Claus. Though troubled by doubts of Santa’s existence, he finds himself aboard a magical train late Christmas Eve that is on route to the North Pole. During this ride Billy’s faith crisis is turned into a self-discovery.
